Amanda Herring, a native of Bastrop, Louisiana, graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Finance and focus on Internal Audit. In 2007, after working for a firm in Dallas, Amanda moved back to Baton Rouge to begin her career at Albemarle in the Corporate Audit Department. Throughout her time at Albemarle, Amanda has held the positions of Internal Audit Manager and SOX 404 Manager.
A GLOBAL REACH
Being in the audit department of Albemarle has allowed Amanda to interact with several different groups in the company. “I’ve traveled to China for a Foreign Corrupt Practices Act compliance audit, tested financial controls onsite at the Amsterdam and Belgium locations, and spent time at the Budapest Shared Service Center,” she says. “Working for an international company has given me the opportunity to travel to new countries, experience different cultures and to learn more about international business.”
