Luther C. Kissam, IV (“Luke”) serves as Chief Executive Officer of Albemarle, a role he was elected to in July 2011. Mr. Kissam has also served on Albemarle's board of directors since November 2011. Previously, Mr. Kissam served as President where he oversaw all aspects of the company’s global business and operational activities. Mr. Kissam joined Albemarle and was elected Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary on September 2003. In January 2008, he became Senior Vice President, Manufacturing and Law, and Corporate Secretary. Before joining Albemarle, Mr. Kissam served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Merisant Co. (manufacturer and marketer of sweetener and consumer food products), having previously served as Associate General Counsel of Monsanto Company (provider of agricultural products and solutions).

Dr. David W. Clary serves as Vice President & Chief Sustainability Officer of Albemarle Corporation. In this role, Dr. Clary oversees the company's technology groups to accelerate the creation and commercialization of socially and environmentally sound products. He manages all aspects of Albemarle's global advocacy efforts to raise awareness of the safety and performance of the company's existing products, and also ensure that future products meet or surpass societal criteria. With over twenty years experience in process technology, research and development, and business management, Dr. Clary most recently served as Division Vice President of Albemarle’s Fine Chemistry Services group.

Ronald “Ron” Gardner is Vice President with primary responsibility for stewarding Albemarle's proprietary technology in extracting lithium from the company's brine reserves in Arkansas into a world-class lithium business. Prior to this role, Mr. Gardner served as Albemarle's Vice President, Fine Chemistry. He joined Albemarle (then Ethyl Corporation) in 1973 and has had a successful, broad based path in his career. He has worked in Manufacturing, R&D, International Distribution and Project Management. He has also led Albemarle’s Global Supply Chain organization and was responsible for the integration of Jordan Bromine Company into Albemarle's global bromine operations and business. He has spent 15 years in Business Management, including a 5-year assignment in Europe. Mr. Gardner received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Mississippi State University in 1973 and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University in 1977.

Matthew K. Juneau was promoted to Vice President, Polymer Solutions, effective March 1, 2012. In this role, Mr. Juneau leads all aspects of the Polymer group's operations, research and product innovation, and business development activities, which include fire safety products in 100 countries and extensive operations in China. Prior to assuming this role Mr. Juneau served as Vice President, Global Sales and Services since April 2009. During his tenure, Mr. Juneau has held numerous technical and commercial roles of increasing responsibility, including: Global Business Director, Polymer Additives and Intermediates; Polymer Chemicals Sales Director, Americas; Regional Managing Director, Europe, Middle East and Africa; and Division Vice President, Performance Chemicals. Mr. Juneau is a native of Louisiana and received a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University in 1982. Mr. Juneau and his wife, Melissa, have four children, Matthew, Claire, David, and Stephen.

Susan M. Kelliher was named Senior Vice President, Human Resources, effective March 5, 2012. In this role, she leads all aspects of Albemarle's global human resources function, including recruiting and retaining a world-class workforce and providing leadership, management and strategic advice on Albemarle's people processes, systems and capabilities in support of the company's strategies.  With over twenty years of human resources experience, Mrs. Kelliher has an impressive background in all human resources disciplines, including organizational change and effectiveness, talent acquisition and development of people. She has extensive experience in integration of acquisitions and workforce planning and has led a number of global organizations in her career. Mrs. Kelliher most recently served as Vice President, Human Resources - Global Sales and Enterprise Marketing at Hewlett Packard where she led a team of 30 human resources professionals. Mrs. Kelliher received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Asian Studies and Political Science from Rice Unversity and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. She and her husband, John, have one daughter.

Scott Martin is Vice President, Fine Chemistry of Albemarle, a role he was promoted to in March 2012. In this role, Mr. Martin is responsible for creating and executing strategy for this global business unit and for driving the group's financial results.  Mr. Martin joined Albemarle in 2001 through the acquisition of custom and fine chemicals company, ChemFirst Fine Chemicals, and subsequently consolidated the company's agricultural and pharmaceutical products into the Fine Chemistry Services division.  Four years later, he became Division Vice President of Polyolefin Catalysts (now re-named Performance Catalyst Solutions) where he served until he assumed responsibility for the Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) Catalysts and Additives division in 2007.  Most recently, he served as Vice President, Hydroprocessing Catalysts. Mr. Martin earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mississippi.

Karen G. Narwold serves as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Albemarle. In this role, Mrs. Narwold is responsible for all legal matters related to the corporation. Mrs. Narwold has over 20 years of experience with industrial and chemical companies. After practicing private law for 5 years, she served as Vice President, General Counsel, Human Resources and Secretary of GrafTech International Ltd., a global graphite and carbon manufacturer and former subsidiary of Union Carbide. She then served as Vice President and Strategic Counsel of Barzel Industries, a North American steel processor and distributor. Most recently, Mrs. Narwold served as Special Counsel with Kelley Drye & Warren LLP and with Symmetry Advisors where she worked in the areas of strategic, financial and capital structure planning and restructuring for public and private companies. Mrs. Narwold graduated summa cum laude and received her B.A. from the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut. She graduated with honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law in West Hartford, Connecticut in 1986.

John J. Nicols was promoted to Senior Vice President of Strategic Development and Catalysts, effective March 1, 2012. Prior to role, Mr. Nicols served as Vice President of Albemarle’s Catalysts division. Mr. Nicols is responsible for all aspects of the Catalysts global business unit, and he oversees Albemarle’s strategy to expand its business through adjacency opportunities as the company implements its Vision 2015 growth strategy. A respected leader in the industry, Mr. Nicols joined Albemarle (then Ethyl Corporation) in February 1990 and has held a wide variety of global positions with increasing responsibilities during his tenure with the company. Mr. Nicols global experience includes a three-year assignment in Tokyo, Japan where he led the company’s bromine business marketing activities for the entire Asia Pacific region, including China and India. Mr. Nicols was appointed as an Officer of the Corporation in 2002. He is a native of New York City and earned his MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1990 as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of New York in 1985. In between degrees, he worked as a Senior Chemical Engineer for Hercules Incorporated in various locations.

Anthony S. “Tony” Parnell was named  Vice President, Global Supply Chain, effective March 1, 2012. In this role, Mr. Parnell oversees all aspects of Albemarle's global supply chain, including sales, procurement and logistics.  A chemical industry veteran with over 25 years of international experience in global sales, business management and development activities, Mr. Parnell joined Albemarle (then the Specialty Chemicals division of Ethyl Corporation) in July 1982. During his tenure at Albemarle, Mr. Parnell has held many notable positions including Managing Director of the company’s European and Middle East Operations and Vice President, Sales.  Most recently, he served as Vice President - Polymer Solutions.   Mr. Parnell graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering. He has recently served as a board representative on the Baton Rouge Arts Council and is currently a board member of Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge.

John M. Steitz was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer of Albemarle, effective March 1, 2012. Mr. Steitz is an industry veteran with nearly thirty years of experience in business management and administration activities. He joined Albemarle in July 2000 and has served in various roles of increasing responsibility during his tenure with the company. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, a role he assumed in April 2007. Prior to that, Mr. Steitz served as Senior Vice President, Business Operations, a role he assumed in October 2002. From July 2000 until October 2002, Mr. Steitz was Vice President of the company's Fine Chemistry segment. Prior to joining Albemarle, he served as Vice President and General Manager of Pharmaceutical Chemicals for Mallinckrodt, Incorporated.

Scott A. Tozier was elected Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in February 2011. He is responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of the company’s operations. Mr. Tozier is a certified public accountant and has over 20 years of diversified international financial management experience. Prior to joining Albemarle, Mr. Tozier served as Vice President of Finance, Transformation and Operations of Honeywell International, Inc. where he was responsible for the company’s global financial shared services and best practices management. His 16-year career with Honeywell spanned senior financial positions in the United States, Asia Pacific and Europe. His increasingly progressive roles included management of financial planning, analysis and reporting; global credit and treasury services and Chief Financial Officer of Honeywell’s Transportation Systems, Turbo Technologies, Building Solutions and Process Solutions divisions. Prior to Honeywell, he worked for four years in Ernst & Young’s assurance services practice.

Dr. Ronald C. Zumstein was elected Vice President of Manufacturing for Albemarle, effective March 15, 2010. In this role, Dr. Zumstein manages all aspects of the company’s global manufacturing operations, technology resources and corporate engineering across all Albemarle and Albemarle-affiliated facilities. With over twenty years of experience at Albemarle, Dr. Zumstein has successfully held a wide variety of positions with increasing responsibility, including roles in research and development, process and product development, and plant management at several of the Company’s plant sites. Most recently, Dr. Zumstein served as Vice President of Manufacturing Operations and previous to that role, he served as Albemarle’s Vice President of Health, Safety and Environment. Dr. Zumstein has also served as Vice President of Manufacturing for the Company’s Polymer Additives division. A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, Dr. Zumstein received a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from the University of Tennessee and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from North Carolina State University.
